Some time ago I wrote about Omer Fast’s short film installation The Casting, which is easily the best part of the Whitney Biennial this year. Now news has come via Greencine Daily that Omer has won the Bucksbaum award, given each year to the Biennial artist “whose work demonstrates a singular combination of talent and imagination.”
Obviously I think it’s well deserved, and I encourage everyone in NYC to check out The Casting at the Whitney before the Biennial closes on June 1.
